Vacancy for a Priest in Charge

A priest-in-charge is sought for our lively and well rounded parish where the congregation value good ordered liturgical worship, and enjoy a strong sense of fellowship. He/she will demonstrate a sensitivity for the ethnic mix in West Watford and be willing to join in interfaith activities. We look for a leader who will encourage and equip us to witness to Christ.

The population is approximately 13,000
The electoral roll is 152
There is one church in the parish, located in a residential area of West Watford.
Enhanced CRB Disclosure is required
Closing date for applications is Thursday 29 January 2009
Interviews will take place on 10/11 February 2009

Christian Aid Tea Party

As last year, St Michael’s will be holding a tea party on 19 September between 3.30 and 5pm in aid of Christian Aid. This is an initiative that is countrywide and last year raised £100,000 for Christian Aid. Please come if you can and bring friends and neighbours with you. There will be tea and cakes to purchase and, we hope, cakes to buy to take away.

The President and Preacher at our 9.30 Sung Eucharist on 28 September will be The Ven John Green, Chaplain in Chief of the Fleet. John Green was Curate at St Michaels from 1983 to 1986.

There will also be a Choral Evensong at 6.30 pm.
